Bruce Leonard Ceney, 65, of Charleston, West Virginia formerly of Saint Albans, WV.
Bruce went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19th 2008 after an extended Illness.
He was born on May, 30, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the son of the late John Thomas and Edith Valicenti Ceney. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Richard "Dick" Ceney.
Bruce was a 1962 Graduate of Charleston Catholic High School, A graduate of West Virginia State College, Served his Country with the United States Army in South Korea and was a Teacher with Kanawha County Schools.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Melinda Anne Henderson Ceney, His Son Michael Thomas Ceney, Daughter in Law Kandie Ceney, He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren Megan Wilson, Michael Thomas Ceney Jr, and Mason Ceney. His brother John Thomas Ceney Jr, His Sister in law, Marie Ceney, their three sons Steven Ceney (Son Aaron Ceney), Robert Ceney ( wife Lana Ceney, son Caleb Ceney), Mark Ceney ( Fiance Michelle Rodgers, Children Karissa, Maddie, Brooklyn, Dylon, Rian) Nephews from Henderson side: Mark and Scott Henderson and Neices from Henderson side: Kimberly and Katie.
Bruce was a Kind Hearted and wonderful Husband, Father, Brother and Uncle who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by Many.
There will be a gathering of Friends and Family from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Gymnasium, 1023 Sixth Ave., St. Albans, in remembrance and Celebration of Bruce's Life.
Bruce led an interesting life and was so loved in his Neighborhood and by most who knew him. He had a wonderful spirit, loved to eat and enjoy good food, company and a good WVU Ball Game.
Jeopardy was one of his favorite shows on TV and His dog Pepper meant the world to him.
He was interested in the History of West Virginia and Kanawha County. He saved clips out of the paper of Facts about the Kanawha Stern Wheelers and Old Schools. He loved Country Music and also Food Network.
He Loved to cook and prepare Italian dishes.
He enjoyed visiting his Brother John, "Tom" and Marie..They shared many laughs together and enjoyed their family farm in Roane County. He loved his Wife Linda and spent as much time as he could with his Son, Daughter in law and Grandchildren.
He will be sorely Missed by his loved ones and Friends.
